Professional Installation on 1984 928S

From DR Jeremy B post on from SoCal928

I just happened to spot a 928 in the stereo installation garage of circuit city so I stopped by to check it out, it was a silver 87 pretty good shape but the things that they were doing to it were incredible, they fiber glassed speaker pods into the doors and added huge amps and subwoofers and new rear speakers as well. I actually came back a few weeks later to see the finished project and hear it , It sounded amazing. So here are the pictures and If you need anything done on your 928 stereo or alarm contact Nat, or anyone at the Circuit City in Burbank , in fact Nat joined our website so , Nat when you see this, respond by letting us know little more if you can and your phone number. Thanks Nat for letting me photograph your work.

Now then check it out. These amps were wired with huge wiring , zero gauge, they said it cost a lot and it looks expensive, but sounds great!! Next here are the rear speaker grills. Nat used some type of speaker cloth to cover the grills so they look stock even though there are some wicked speakers behind there! Then we see the capacitors, I'm not sure the exact use of them I think so the amps don't spike the cars voltage, but of course if this guy gets a flat, he batter have AAA.

These have to be the most impressive thing about this whole project and maybe the most labor intensive. Nat fiber glassed these pods down on the door and covered them with carpet to look completely stock. Why didn't Porsche think of that?

now there are 6 speakers just in the doors alone! Here is what the completed amp and woofers look like. those sub woofers are actually metal Nat had mentioned the power of this system could break the rear hatch glass right out. That would be cool to see at the Next Bob's big boy car show night. Of course I think that the owner might want to take his other car if he goes grocery shopping. there's about enough room in the back to fit one can of beer, and a stick of gum!

There have been some rumors that I have heard from a few people in the stereo business that in dash CD players don't work well at an angle like in the 928 , in fact that's why I put a CD changer in mine. However there are a few high end ones that work really well. this one is a Sony, maybe Nat can let us know which model it is, I'm sure you can purchase on From them.

I wonder if you can even get this type of attention at the Porsche dealer. In this picture they were just completing the project and finishing the wiring.

Hope everyone enjoyed, thanks again Nat, Omar and everyone at Circuit City in Burbank, and more to come from me as I'm in a project with the interior of my car
